VIRAL: Man Riding Carabao to Jollibee Drive Thru with a Bunch of Kids

In Teresa, Rizal, a man went to Jollibee drive thru riding a carabao which was pulling along a cart with a bunch of kids. The video was truly unusual because, well, we often only see cars and various motor vehicles at the drive thru!

Can you imagine going to the drive thru on a carabao? Well, it surely got the attention of many netizens who said that this kind of video made them proud and happy to be Filipino.

With the carabao a common thing to see in the provinces as a beast of burden and a way of transport for many farmers, the combination of the rural symbol (the carabao) and the urban symbol (Jollibee) was truly a beautiful and rare thing to see.

In the video, it was obvious to see that the kids were quite excited for their meal – and they were also very happy to be riding the cart towards the drive thru. Since Jollibee is a popular figure and fast food chain, we’re quite sure these kids were also excited to taste the meal and enjoy the ‘langhap sarap’ food.

What do you think of this video? Isn’t this a beautiful sample of what Filipino life is – and a lovely evidence that Filipinos can be happy with the simplest things?

What is Jollibee?

Jollibee is a Filipino food chain which has already reached several places outside the Philippines, notably in areas where there are plenty of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). Jollibee is also the name of the company’s mascot, represented by a red bee with a big smile on its face – a “jolly” bee!
