Tips to Stay Young

No one wants to grow old, or at least look like one. Ageing is inevitable, but with the help of modern day medicine, you can at least slow it down to an extent.

Indeed, many have gone under the knife just to maintain a radiant youthful glow. But do we really need to undergo cosmetic surgery just to be forever young?

Fortunately, there are other options to stay young. See the science-backed tips to be forever young, according to Yahoo Health.

1. Use sunscreen.

A 2013 study revealed that sun exposure is responsible for 80% of visible signs of ageing in our face. Dilated pores, fine lines, wrinkles, as well as brown spots are some of the damages that UVA causes. This is why experts recommend to use SPF 15 sunscreen.

2. Get enough sleep.

When it comes to healthy ageing, getting sufficient sleep is the key, according to Dr. Florence Comite. Research shows that people who sleeps less than five or six hours at night have the tendency to age faster. In addition, sleep deprivation may also cause a variety of ailments including  heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity.

3. Eat sufficiently

Maintaining a healthy body weight is one of the factors to longer life. Some studies have proven that obesity can shorten the lifespan by full six or seven years.

4. It’s all in the mind

Learn new skills, forgive easily, and do enjoyable rituals to combat stress- these are some of the activities that scientists found among people who look a lot younger than their age. Thus, you should think and act young.
