It is sad reality that many young people are so concerned about their image that they feel somewhat ashamed about their parents for their poor background. Thankfully, not all young people are like that – and there are still a lot who are proud of their parents and are always happy to share their humble beginnings.

Ela Marfil Sullano recently went viral after sharing a photo with her father who is a farmer. The young woman graduated from St. Vincent College of Science and Technology with flying colors. She received the Academic Excellence Award with High Honors!

Knowing that she wouldn’t reach where she is now without her parents, the young woman honored her farmer dad in the post.

Nakapagtapos ako dahil sa dugo’t pawis ng aking ama. 💖 #ProudDaughterOfAFarmer,” Sullano wrote as caption in the post she shared on Facebook.

The post has since gone viral, gaining over 22k shares and more than 97k reactions from happy netizens, most of whom also commented their congratulated the young woman for her achievement and her dad for being able to send his daughter to school.
