Steve Greig definitely has a soft spot for old animals.
The animal lover happens to own a big property and he eventually decided to use it to house senior animals who may not find a forever home. This, of course, is often the case since most individuals and families who adopt dogs prefer younger pups than older ones.
This is a problem that Steve tries to address in his own little way. He believes that every animal deserves love and a home and so he’s doing something about it.

In a blog report by the Metro website, we learn that Steve got the inspiration from the project after he went to a local shelter. At the time though, he looked for a dog that he thought had the least chance of being adopted.
After that initial adoption, he started welcoming other animals into his home, giving them a chance for a new life.

As of present time, Steve now has 10 dogs and most of them are elderly dogs. His love for animals, however, isn’t exclusively for dogs alone because he also has a pig, two ducks, pigeons, cats, and chickens in his now zoo-like home.

Through his Instagram account, Steve shares his love for his pets with other fellow animal lovers across the world. He often posts photos and updates regarding the animals living in his house.

In a recent interview with The Chive, Steve said:
“You kind of know what you want out of life once you hit a certain age. These dogs know who they are, and it’s easy to develop a relationship with a person or pet who knows who they are.”
