While everyone else in the temperate zone is complaining about the extended winter that brought a lot of snow even in spring, there is this dad of four in Wausau, Wisconsin, who doesn’t seem to mind the cold snow storm.
Patrick Schmidt was recently pictured wearing just a pair of cut-off jean shorts and gloves while clearing the snow from his driveway. The prankster dad thought that the image would entertain his wife; thus, he didn’t put on more clothes even though the temperatures had dropped down to 27 degrees Fahrenheit (-2.8 degrees Celsius).
As to his choice of clothes, he said that the shorts were the first pair of pants he had seen in his closet. He figured it wouldn’t hurt to use the clothing item for the day.
“I figured it would entertain my wife, I didn’t really think much of it and I didn’t really think much of it, we live on a little cul-de-sac,” Patrick admitted.
“They were the only ones there, I went downstairs, had breakfast with the family and I knew that I could snow blow or I could go change and I was like ‘oh, it’s only 27, so I can probably just do it with a pair of gloves and boots on.”

The image would have been buried in obscurity as his wife laughed but this dad would soon take the internet by storm when a neighbor snapped a photo and posted it on social media.
Nicole Thomas was cooking breakfast at the time when she spotted Patrick. After she stopped laughing, she immediately told her husband, Mark Thomas, to snap a photo of Patrick. While they weren’t surprised with the outfit because Patrick had always been a prankster, she knew this one was gold.
“Can you out-do this? I don’t know. We’ll have to see what he comes up with I guess,” Nicole mused.
