Adorable Dog Runs Errands for Owner
These days, there are a lot of changes that business establishments have to do in order to still operate despite the COVID-19 pandemic. For example, there was a time when restaurants are not allowed to have dine in customers but can still do take out or delivery orders.
Recently, restaurants are now allowed to have dine in customers but there should still be social distancing and limited customers are allowed per table. There are some restaurants that allow curbside or parking lot pickup, something that is offered if they don’t have a drive through option.
The Chick-fil-A in Carraway Village, Chapel Hill, a town in North Carolina, offers parking lot pickup for customers who order ahead of time.
But the crew had the surprise of a lifetime when a golden retriever was the one who picked up the order of one of their customers! Isn’t that cute?
After learning that the customer sends the golden retriever for the order instead of picking up the order in person, the crew took a video of the adorable dog who would soon go viral for its smart moves.
Ellie, the adorable golden retriever, helps her owner, Nick, in picking up the orders from the Carraway Village Chick-fil-A.
“Using our mobile app for curbside delivery has never been more fun or easy. Just ask Ellie. She loves running to meet the Team Member delivering her food and carrying it back to her owner, Nick, who waits in their curbside space,” wrote a store’s representative.
‘It’s Ellie’s favorite thing to do,’ said Nick. It’s our favorite thing to do to serve yummy food to happy Guests – four-legged Guests included! Place your mobile curbside order today and make your favorite part of the day getting your Chick-fil-A just like Ellie!”

What is a Curbside Pickup?
A curbside pickup allows customers to place their orders ahead through mobile apps, phone in, or online options. But instead of picking up the order from inside the restaurant, the customer waits outside, such as at the parking lot or beside the road.
There are even options for the crew to put the order directly inside the customers’ car trunk for “no contact” policy.
