This Boy’s Before and After Cancer Photo Is Absolutely Inspiring

Merely hearing the word “cancer” somehow stirs up the emotions.

Unsettling feelings can penetrate the heart, especially if the afflicted one is a person you deeply care about whether it’s a close friend or a family member.

Imagine the feeling of Noah’s parents when he, at the age of just 4 years, was diagnosed with AML or acute myeloid leukemia. This rare and aggressive type of cancer causes the bone marrow to make abnormal myeloblasts. In fact, it came to a point when he was at a 50/50 chance of surviving.

Now what’s exceptional about this young boy is that he maintained a positive outlook in life despite of all his personal struggles.

Noah’s attending physician and her team members came up with a personalized treatment plan to save the boy’s life.

The plan included chemotherapy, bone marrow transplant, and, of course, several months of in-hospital care.

Eventually, young Noah triumphed against the deadly disease.

A moving split portrait of him, now already 7 years of age, recently went viral because of the hopeful message it carried. The left side shows him as a cancer-stricken patient while the right portion shows him completely cancer-free – and he is smiling in both images.

The photo has been used for a campaign by Children’s Cancer Center and the text that went with it completely summed up the main point.

The poster said:

‘His Children’s Cancer team never gave up – and neither did Noah.’

The touching image has inspired many and has caught the attention of news websites all over the globe. It has also been heavily shared among social media users.

We are happy that Noah is now completely healthy and free of the dangerous condition. His life is a testament that being diagnosed with cancer doesn’t have to be a death sentence and that positive things can happen if one never gives up.

A picture, as they say, truly paints a thousand words – and this one definitely testified of Noah’s determination and strength in character.
