You Wouldn’t Believe These Simple Typos Cost Millions of Dollars!

Does grammar really matter? Well, in most cases it does not because human brains are wired in such a way that we could understand stuff even with some details missing or wrongly placed; thus, we do not often have problems with communication even when dealing with someone who does not have perfect grammar.

But there are times when a wrongly placed letter or punctuation could have a huge effect on the meaning of something, making it mean an entirely different thing!

While that could be forgivable in everyday grammar usage, such errors had cost individuals or companies millions of dollars! Ouch! What a huge loss for something as simple as a typo error or wrong grammar!

Check out this video created by Alltime10s, highlighting the top 10 typos that cost millions of dollars.

You will be quite surprised at the typo errors which were so simple (just a comma or a letter) yet the magnanimous effect is so utterly devastating! This makes me want to read and re-read and re-read again any contract I would sign in the future (though I don’t have millions to lose)…

Proper Grammar

Learning about proper grammar is a very important aspect offered in school. In fact, this is the primary reason why people go to school.

But life does not depend on proper grammar, of course. Millions of people survive without learning proper grammar. Still, as exemplified above, something as simple as a misplaced comma or a missing letter could cost someone a lot of money! Thus, learning proper grammar is very important.

Moreover, by knowing the correct words and phrases to use, people could not only communicate with others better but could also earn from it – such as what writers and bloggers are doing!
