Woman Cuts Hole in Mask to Make It Easier for Her to Breathe, Goes Viral

A woman cuts a hole in her mask to make it easier for her to breathe – and people are just scratching their heads over her skewed logic.

Life with Masks

Life is difficult amid the COVID-19 pandemic, with millions of people forced to stay at home to stop the spread of the virus. Should you need to go out, you have to wear a mask to ensure that you keep yourself and others safe.

But wearing masks can be uncomfortable, making it difficult for you to breathe. Of course, that’s a small discomfort that we all have to deal with, in hopes that we won’t contract the virus.

One woman didn’t understand how masks work, however, as she cut a hole in the middle so it would be easier for her to breathe!

A gas station clerk in Kentucky was surprised to see the woman enter the shop. So, he thought about taking a video of his conversation with the woman, knowing that people really wouldn’t believe him if he told them about this particular incident.

Where did you get that mask from?” he asked the woman.

Well, since we have to wear them and it makes it hard to breathe, this makes it a lot easier to breathe,” the woman replied.

Cutting it? Yeah, I’ll do that too, thanks for the advice,” he jokingly replied as she walked away, not knowing that he was laughing inside while telling her that.

The video has since gone viral on various media, with netizens scratching their heads in wonder that this woman would even think it would be alright to do this to her mask. Here’s a shortened version of the video:

Why Wear a Mask?

Wearing a mask will help provide a layer of protection against the coronavirus. Make sure that your hands are clean before putting the mask on. Moreover, disposable masks should only be worn once and should be discarded properly to stop the spread of infection.

Wearing a mask helps keep dust, allergens, and droplets with pathogens away. While always wearing a mask is not a guarantee that you won’t contract a disease, it will greatly help minimize your chances of getting sick.
