With over 2 million views, 80,000 likes and 60,000 shares on Facebook, UP Concert Chorus’ performance of the famous Pinoy ballad “Ikaw ang Lahat Sa Akin” has captured the heart of Filipino netizens.

In the 4-minute video uploaded on the Facebook page Bassilyo, the official choir of the University of the Philippines also known as Korus or UPCC beautifully serenaded everyone with their seemingly flawless version of the song popularized by Martin Nievera.

According to Raymund Francis O. Madali, a member of Korus, the video was taken in Poznan in Poland just before the group took an overnight bus ride to Gambach, Germany.

Aside from Nievera, Filipina singer Ella Mae Saison and Asia’s songbird Regine Velasquez also performed the song.

The viral video earned positive comments from netizens. Here are some of them:

“Nakaka-miss din talga makapanuod ng mga ganitong performance. Simple. Walang ka-dramahan , ka-OA-an at pagpapa-cute . May quality and pure talent,” wrote Eve Ferrer Autencio on  Facebook.

(I really miss watching this kind of performance. Simple. No drama, no frills but with quality and pure talent.)

Meanwhile, Emettie AR Digno  commented: “Nothing to be surprised about them. Mgagaling n singers talaga mga yang UPConcert Chorus pati UP Singing Ambassadors. Contemporary ko ibang members nila. Worldclass! Ako dpat kasali rin pero not as a singer kundi make-up artist. Hahaha.”

(Nothing to be surprised about them. The members of the UP Concert Chorus and UP Singing Ambassadors are really good singers. Some of their members are my contemporary. I should have been part of the group but not as a singer but as a make-up artist.)
