VIRAL: Netizen Shares Story of Cops Handing Out Free Bibles to Motorists

In a story that touched the hearts of netizens, Jhieriel Rosario narrated how a policeman asked him to stop while he was driving along Aurora Blvd from Cubao in Quezon City, Philippines.

Thinking that it was a routing check point, he silently did as he was told but was puzzled why the cops were also asking public utility vehicles (PUVs) to stop and that there were people who looked like civilians (or cops not wearing uniforms) along with the ones at the check point.

He was thinking about how cops should be wearing uniforms when conducting check points when he realized that this was no check point after seeing the uniformed officers handing out small Bibles to motorists, PUV drivers, and passengers!

It was something out of the ordinary but it made Rosario glad that he witnessed that happen and he was among the recipients of the New Testament Bible. He thinks that it was wonderful to see these cops sharing the Bible despite having to do so under the intense heat of the sun.

He also admitted that it was the first time that someone had ever given him a Bible – and that someone was a policeman! Isn’t that amazing?

Rosario shared his photos with Trending News Portal who, in turn, posted the snapshots on their Facebook page.

Salute to these awesome officers!

New Testament Bible

While most Bibles come in both the Old Testament and the New Testament, there are prints that only come with the New Testament. The latter is the second major part of the Christian Bible. It is the New Testament that is often credited for spreading Christianity around the world, mostly because it accounts the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

The New Testament is comprised of four sections:

  1. The four Gospels which tell the story of Jesus
  2. The narrative about the acts of Jesus’ apostles
  3. Twenty one letters of Christian doctrine, instructions, and counsel
  4. A book of prophecies
