Toyota’s Father’s Day Ad Will Send You to Tears

Most cultures will be celebrating Father’s day soon and companies have made efforts to come up with the best commercial to mark the special day.

One of these companies is Toyota and its ad depicts a heartwarming story of a father and daughter’s emotional ride of growing up together.

The ad titled “Loving Eyes” tells the same story twice using two different perspectives: the father’s and the daughter’s views.

The three-and-a-half minute video begins with a montage showing the joy, the pain, and the struggles of raising a daughter. In the ad, the father was seen placing a “baby in the car” sticker on the car, putting up with his young girl’s tantrums, coping with his teenage girl’s moody years, going to his daughter’s wedding, and finally putting the same sticker on his married daughter’s family car.

Using the daughter’s point of view, the same story is told and you’ll probably need to get your tissues ready before watching this part.

In the video caption, it said: “This is a story dedicated to parents and children in the world on Father’s Day. Eyes of father and eyes of daughter. The double-sided story of life time with cars captured from two different points of view will give you new sensation.”

Toyota Executive Arrested for Allegedly Importing Oxycodone

Julie Hamp, Toyota’s chief communication officer, is accused of illegally importing oxycodone, a painkiller categorised as narcotic in Japan.

In the US, the drug is considered legal if taken with a prescription.

Following Hamp’s arrest, Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda told the press that he believes the lady executive had no intention to violate Japan’s law.

“We will continue to cooperate fully with the investigation. We are confident, however, that once the investigation is complete, it will be revealed that there was no intention on Ms. Hamp’s part to violate any law,” he said.
