“Technical Glitch” Makes Singer’s Performance More Awesome

In the world of reality shows and talents, everyone is competing for the audience’s attention but would certainly want to make sure they stand out from the rest of the competition. So, it is best to think of an awesome gimmick that would make people, especially the judges, remember your performance.

Thus, when 27-year-old Lewis Codling went on stage to audition for Britain’s Got Talent, he created a gimmick that soon had everyone laughing and cheering!

Lewis has a great voice, with a unique rasp that sure gets your attention; however, he knows that a lot of people were also auditioning with a song. So, what gimmick would he do?

Well, just a few seconds into his performance, a technical glitch happens. It had Simon Cowell raising his hands in apparent frustration and the other judges easily agreed with him. Yet everything is not what it seems – for the “crew” who went on stage was actually part of his act! Together, they brought the house down.

Reality and Talent Shows

Today, there are dozens of reality and talent shows airing on various TV networks across the world. It seems that TV viewers have this taste for shows that showcase the lives and career journeys of other people.

Reality and talent shows often come in the form of competitions for participants to win a huge amount of money, a car, a recording contract, a house, or whatever big prize the network and its sponsors are willing to give. Some examples are Big Brother, The Voice, “Got Talent” franchise such as America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent, Your Face Sounds Familiar, Project Runway, American Idol, and Dancing with the Stars.

However, there are also reality shows that simply showcase the lives of people, just because they are famous. Examples of this are Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
