When feeling tired and stressed out, there’s nothing more relaxing than a cup of hot tea and a full-body massage. There’s just something about your muscles getting a loving massage that takes out the tiredness from your body.
But would you ever consider getting a knife massage? Yep! You got that right – a KNIFE MASSAGE!
There’s this spa center in Taiwan that offers a knife massage to its tired but adventurous customers. If you were brave enough to try it, you can experience something that they claim to be an ancient Chinese massage technique.
Don’t worry because the knives won’t be touching your skin directly but it is difficult to imagine someone feeling rather relaxed while someone holds not one but two knives over their body and simply ‘chops’ away!
But for brave customers of this spa center, they get to enjoy a unique treatment that involves getting covered in pieces of cloth which become the only barrier between their skin and the masseuse’s knives.
Perhaps it would come as a consolation to you that the knives are dulled out so they won’t be too sharp to cut the cloth and knick your skin; although the video on Pretty 52 claims the knives are sharpened. Watching the video closely, you will see that the knives were actually getting dulled instead of sharpened.
Going viral with over 3.5 million views, the video has certainly piqued netizens’ interest; although many commented that they would rather get the traditional massage than this literally ‘cutting edge’ massage option.
Hmmmmm. After watching this video, would you still consider getting a knife massage?
