If you love taking selfies and posting food pictures on social media, then you will probably love this absurd new invention – or you might find it a little weird.
Created by the guys over at General Mills’ Cinnamon Toast Crunch and the McCann agency, the aptly-called selfie spoon is, as you can probably figure out from its name, a “selfie stick with spoon on one end.”

The stick measures 30 inches and has a purple spoon attached on it. As their ad says, the company is giving out 1,000 pieces of this selfie equipment for free over a period of 10 days. All you have to do is to pay for the shipping and handling.

So believe it or not, the craze is definitely real and we’re not even sure if anyone is ever interested about getting one of these. In fact, most of the netizen reactions online are very negative about this.

With the popularity of smartphones, it’s safe to assume selfies are not going away anytime soon. Besides, these phones come equipped with front and back cameras, making it simpler for users to take pictures on the go, without having to bring a digital or DSLR camera everywhere.
To take the perfect selfie, Stitch.com shared that angles are very important.
“Practice by just taking photos of your face from different positions whether it’s posing your head to the side or just moving your chin a slight angle up. Everyone will have different ‘good angles’, the secret is finding yours by practicing,” the blog said.
They also added, “Hold the camera with just one hand, as using two hands can cause your neck to tense up and the Selfie will look less relaxed. However, you can go hands free and use a “Selfie stick”.”
