A photographer expresses dismay after a wedding guest blocks bride who was about to walk down the aisle. A TikTok video of the moment went viral, with many netizens calling for people to be polite and at accordingly during special events.
Wedding Guest Blocks Bride to Take Photo
Gone were the days when only a handful of people had a camera during special events.
These days, everyone can easily whip out their phones to take photos and videos. While that can be great for those who want to preserve memories of the special moment, it can be distracting, even annoying, for photographers who were hired to cover the event.
Did you know that photographers are usually paid a lot of money to cover special events, especially big moments such as weddings?
The cost of a wedding photography package can be high – and photographers are, of course, expected to come up with impressive photos. And while there are times when the official photographer produces terrible wedding photos, most live up to their reputations.
Sadly, many wedding photographers encounter problems while taking the official photos – such as wedding guests ruining the shot by whipping out their phones.
Recently, a photographer can be seen reacting in frustration after a wedding guest blocked the bride’s walk down the aisle.
It’s the most awaited moment in a wedding, and photographers are expected to capture this with the best shot. But a wedding guest chose to cross the aisle at the moment, clearly to get a better angle of the bride’s entrance, too.
The photographer can be seen on video expressing his frustration at the woman, but he can’t also shout out. He could only wave his hands in dismay, and perhaps anger.
The wedding guest appeared to realize what she had done, but the shot had already been ruined and the photographer has to do it again.

How to Stop Wedding Guests from Ruining Photos
There are ways to do it without also offending your guests but also instructing them not to block the photographer:
- The couple can include a note about it in the invitation
- You can put a ribbon lining the pews or chairs along the aisle
- Someone (a wedding coordinator or the emcee) should announce right before the bridal march for guests to stay in their seats
