Pacman Reveals How He Injured His Right Shoulder

Who would have thought that a jetski accident way back in 2009 would prevent the Pinoy boxing champion from giving his best during the much-awaited Mayweather vs Pacquiao boxing match last May 3?

In an interview with the media upon his arrival in the country, Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao disclosed how he sustained the injury in his right shoulder.

‘’I was driving the jet ski fast and then I got thrown off from it. The waves were big. I just ignored it and it healed. But after that I felt pain during intense training,” he told reporters.

After Pacquiao’s controversial loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr, the 36-year-old world champion boxer underwent a surgical procedure on his torn rotator cuff in Los Angeles.

Focused on his recovery which is expected to take about nine months, the famous boxer refuses to talk about future fights.

Wearing a shoulder brace and an arm sling, he said: “For now I don’t talk about it, about my next fight.”

My focus is to recover and be OK. The doctor said I will recover 100%,” he added.

Furthemore, the boxing superstar claimed he has no plans of running as the President of the country in 2016.

Boxing Commentator Kellerman Defends Pacquiao

Max Kellerman, a renowned  boxing commentator who was slammed by Filipinos after his “rude” post-fight interview with Pacquiao, defended the Pinoy boxer during HBO’s broadcast of Saul Alvarez and James Kirkland fight.

An HBO boxing commentator said the Filipino boxing icon “perpetrated a fraud on the public” by choosing to fight with a torn rotator cuff.

Kellerman came to Pacquiao’s defense saying the Pinoy boxer manned up instead of postponing the match dubbed as “The Fight of the Century”.

What did Manny Pacquiao do? He manned-up. If he postponed, there may never have been a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight. Who knows if Mayweather would have still been active after Manny’s recovery time,” Kellerman commented.
