Mom Wows Everyone with Impressive Transformation after Losing 125lbs in Just 1 Year

Australian mom of three Keely Dellit is currently a fitness enthusiast and personal trainer, but there was a time when she was too scared to go to the gym for fear that everyone would laugh at her huge, awkward body.

After high school, Keely got married and had three kids in succession. But pregnancy was not good on her as this caused her to gain a lot of weight.

Honestly, I stopped weighing myself near the end of my last pregnancy because I just didn’t want to know anymore,” Keely admitted. And when she finally had the courage to step on a weighing scale, she was shocked to see that she ballooned to 278 lbs (126 kg)!

It was something that was difficult for the mom of three to accept. For the next months, she wallowed in self-pity. With so much weight to lose, she didn’t feel any kind of motivation at first. Moreover, she didn’t want to feel deprived of her happiness and didn’t also have the resources to start a major makeover.

But she was at the heaviest weight she has ever been, and she realized that she has to make changes if she wanted long enough for her kids to grow. So, she started making changes on her eating habits.

At first, I didn’t cut out the fast food and treats that I loved; I simply chose smaller portions (like a small fry instead of a medium size). Then, I gradually made slightly healthier substitutions (grilled chicken instead of crispy, for example),” she shared.

Once I got used to that, I swapped out soda for juice and then traded that for sparkling water. I cooked brown rice instead of white, tried plant-based milks instead of dairy, ate at home instead of ordering takeout. Those tiny, gradual changes allowed me to slowly transform my lifestyle.

Seeing her efforts pay off, she began to go out for a walk with her kids. Then, she took the courage to join a fitness bootcamp. After changing her lifestyle, she lost all those extra pounds. In just 14 months, she lost 125 lbs (57 kgs)!

“By losing weight, I also found my passion: health and fitness. Becoming a personal trainer has helped me share everything I’ve learned with others who are going through similar struggles. I learned that the trick to long-term weight management and health is to start slow and focus on all the little successes along the way-and now I want to pass that information on,” Keely explained.

Her story is proof that it is never really too late to start losing weight!
