There’s a new trend sweeping across the web, affecting men whether straight, gay, or somewhere in between: the so-called “Merman Trend”. If you’ve heard about the pastel-colored armpits trend which went viral in the last quarter of 2014, then you probably won’t be so shocked to hear that the new trend involves hair dyed in shocking colors – but it is mostly done by men on their head hair!
Men have begun experimenting on colors on their hair and enjoyed it so much that they are using vivid colors that many women might not even wish to try. Quite possibly, the women are not so sure how they would look with long, colorful locks but the men who joined the new trend are quite confident in their hair, no matter what color it is.
Plus, wouldn’t it be a great conversational piece to have colorful hair or a cool feature that makes the guy unique from his peers?
So far, the popular hair colors submitted on Bored Panda range from blue to green to purple but there are many guys who went beyond the ordinary to color their hair pink, blood red, or even rainbow!
We’re not so sure whether these guys are trying to make a statement or simply going with the trend. After all, we are so used to seeing ladies with different hair colors but this is something quite surprising in men, especially the straight guys! Though many are possibly changing their hair color just to be part of the “in” crowd because this is, after all, what’s trending today.
