Man Fulfills Promise to Fly Tinder Match to China

If you’re looking for real love, there’s a chance that you can find it on the dating app Tinder.

Thomas Gallagher, a man from Charlotte, North Carolina proved that finding romance in the hook-up app is possible. He took Tinder dating to the next level by taking his match to a romantic trip in Beijing, China.

Gallagher was on a business trip in Chicago when he decided to send a flirty message to a girl named Grace.

As their conversation developed, Gallagher promised Grace that he would fly her to China if she took him to New Zealand.  Grace said yes to Gallagher’s proposal.

“We have been flying to see each other each weekend for the past 6 months and landed in Beijing yesterday,” he wrote.

“We’re booked for New Zealand in February,” Gallagher added.

According to Gallagher, he had never expected to meet anyone over the popular dating app. Despite having a tight schedule, the couple continued to communicate and meet each other in person a month since their first conversation.

The couple decided to share their one-of-a-kind Tinder love story through a video created by Galllagher.

The League: A “Tinder for Elites”

Described as an elitist and highly selective app for successful singles, The League calls itself as the “Tinder for Elites”.

Launched early this year in San Francisco, the dating app was founded by Amanda Bradford, a Stanford Graduate. The app aims to match highly motivated single professionals.

In order to get in, you can sign up to a long waiting list but you can boost your application by getting a VIP pass from an existing member.

Users will be shown five potential matches every day. Like Tinder, you can swipe right to show your interest or you can swipe left to pass.

Unlike other dating apps, your matches on The League have an expiration date. You need to respond within three weeks or your match will disappear.
