Here are some of the features of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge as reviewed by The Guardian:

1. Metal and Glass Design

Samsung has upgraded its look with the use of premium materials. Both smartphones have a new metal and glass design. Previously, Samsung used plastic material for its products.

2. Thinner than iPhone

The latest smartphones from Samsung are now thinner by 0.1mm than the Apple iPhone 6.

3. Pixel-Dense Screen

Both S6 and S6 Edge have one of the most pixel-dense screens with a 5.1in screen that has a quad HD resolution with a density of 577 pixels per inch.

4. Wireless Charging

S6 is actually the first smartphone from Samsung to adapt the wireless charging technology. Simply attach the device to a wireless charging pad and it’s good to go.

5. Fingerprint Sensor

No need to swipe. The new Samsung smartphone can now be accessed with only a single touch with its improved fingerprint sensor.

6. Gear VR

A smaller version of the virtual reality headset Gear VR will be available for S6.

Users can now pay for good without the need for credit card with “Samsung Pay”.

8. Choice of Storage

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have fixed storage variants- users have the option to purchase, 32, 64, or 128 GB.

9. Powerful Processors

The S6 series has finally ditched Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors for their very own Octa-core 64-bit Exynos processor.

The Extra Curve

Design-wise S6 Edge seems to have the extra edge between the two Samsung flagship phones. In addition to having a screen that curves on both the left and right edges of the phone, S6 Edge has added features including a ticker tape news alert, a clock at the edge, and contact photos on the edge to quickly identify who’s calling.

What’s Missing?

In order to achieve the revolutionary design, Samsung had to remove a few cornerstone features in the S6 series such as waterproofing, microSD card, and removable battery.
