A kind fireman builds table for students with special needs – and his good deed earned him praise on social media.
Kind Fireman Builds Table for School
There’s a special place in the hearts of netizens for kind people who go out of their way to help others in need, especially the less fortunate or those with special needs.
So, a kindhearted fireman recently went viral for the table he created for students with special needs at a school in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.
According to Balita Online, SFO1 Paul Nelson A. Galit is the Chief Officer of the Intelligence and Investigation Section at the Sindangan Municipal Fire Station in Barangay La Roche, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.
He explained that the fire station personnel, led by Inspector Alejandro Abonita II, actively participates in the “Brigada Eskwela” of the DepEd (Department of Education).
“Tuwing matatapos ang mga gawain ay lagi naming tinatanong ang mga guro kung ano pa ang puwede naming mai-ambag na tulong at kontakin lang kami anytime,” the fire officer explained.
“It was during at that time that Mr. Cyrell Jones Sidlao, a compassionate teacher from Buyos Elementary School told us that he was planning to make a table for the children with special needs but don’t have a budget for the labor.”
It turned out that Galit isn’t just a fire officer but had also graduated with a Bachelor of Elementary Education and is a Registered Teacher.
So, he understands the plight of school teachers and has a big heart for young learners. He didn’t hesitate to volunteer, making the table for free.
“l offer my help kasi maliban sa hobby ko ang pagpanday, what compels me to do it, is the idea and its’ purpose. Isa din kasi akong guro, | am a graduate of Bachelor of Elementary Education and a Registered Teacher,” he shared.
“Lagi rin akong isinasama noon ng aking tita na isang guro din sa kaniyang paaralan para tulungan siya sa kaniyang mga visual aids, magpintura o magkumpuni sa kaniyang silid-aralan.”
Kudos to this wonderful fireman!
