Let’s face it – not a lot of people stock on household cleaners and it’s not always easy to find some at the neighborhood store in case you have to clean up fast as some guests are arriving. When that happens, you can easily clean up your messy toilet bowl using something that you can find in your fridge or a neighborhood sari-sari store: softdrinks!
In this video shared by Tambayan ni Berto page on Facebook, a person who didn’t show his/her face on camera cleans a rather yucky toilet with a can of Coke. Did it actually work?
Well, in this particular video, the household hack worked – though many are commenting that whoever used the Coke on the toilet bowl should have also placed some on the cover of the bowl as it looks rather icky still!

So, how is this cleaning hack done? It’s actually easy.
Just pour a can of Coke on the surface of and inside the toilet bowl. The one who made the video did not really indicate just how many minutes you’re supposed to let this sit but we’re guessing at least an hour or so since there have been a number of YouTube videos belying this claim but they only let the Coke sit for a few minutes.
In the clip, the person only had to rinse off the Coke with water for the bowl to look gleaming white but in other YouTube videos, you might need to use a scrub to remove those stubborn dirt.
A lot of people commented how they still would not want to waste a can or bottle of coke on their toilet bowl that way as there are other less expensive and more effective cleaners available in the market plus many just wouldn’t believe the video was for real! What do you think?
