She can see her daughter and have a talk with the child, but what is truly heartbreaking is that she can’t really hug the girl. She can just give the girl a virtual hug and try to savor the moment that she is there, talking, but this mom also has to come to terms with the fact that her daughter was long gone.

There were tears in her family’s eyes as they watched Ji-sung talking with Nayeon through virtual reality. The two had a virtual picnic and some fun moments together before a tired Nayeon asked to be tucked into bed as she wants to rest, a signal that the VR moment has to come to an end.

We can’t imagine what Ji-sung is experiencing but can all feel her pain in this tear-jerking video:

What is Virtual Reality?

Virtual reality is a simulated experience that is akin to the real world but through the use of computer technology. It puts the VR user inside the experience, making it looks, sound, and feel like it is for real.
