This Guy Tops Physician Board Exams, 5 Years after Topping Med Tech Board Exams!

Vincent Eduoard Anthony “Dandan” Retardo Gullas, who graduated from the University of Sto. Thomas, has topped the recently held physician board exams but his victory is not something new to the doctor who had also topped the medical technology board exams some 5 years ago.

His proud brother, Cong. Samsam Gullas, posted on Facebook his pride in his younger brother’s achievement, saying Dandan made his family proud on both occasions.

The Gullas family owns the University of the Visayas in Cebu City, central Philippines.

Dandan had been a consistent honor student, having topped his class for years.

In an interview with the Philippine Star back when he topped the med tech board exams, his mother revealed that Dandan graduated valedictorian in Elementary and High School from the Ateneo de Manila University.

He graduated magna cum laude from Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology at Velez College in Cebu City. He topped the board exams that year with a score of 92 percent.

After graduation from college, he went to Manila to fulfil his dream of becoming a doctor. He studied at the University of Sto. Thomas.

After the physician board exam results were posted, his brother Cong. Samsam posted:

Today, he brings us the same happiness we felt 5 years ago as the Physician Board Exam results are out. NUMBER 1 YET AGAIN. CONGRATULATIONS DAN!! 🙂

So proud of you brother. 🙂

The new doctor got a score of 90.50 percent.

His brother’s post went viral on social media. In 2 days, it received over 13.2k shares and 82k likes. A lot of netizens also commented that he is not just intelligent but looks handsome as well.

Congratulations, Dr. Gullas!
