There is no doubt that overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are making a huge sacrifice as they work in countries far away from the Philippines; far away from their loved ones.
They have to cope with the distance that separates them. They have to understand how hard it would be to live far away; without constant contact with their families. Their kids are going to achieve milestones which they could not see in person; milestones they will only learn after someone in the family tells them later on.
It is a good thing that the internet was created and that gadgets are getting more high-tech, allowing families to stay connected even when they are hundreds or thousands of miles apart.
