Five Siblings Live in Pigpen after Getting Abandoned by Parents

After getting abandoned by their heartless parents some 2 years ago, five siblings have taken to living in a pigpen. Their sad plight would go viral and finally bring them the help they needed.

In a post made by anchorman Jun Ramos of DWRS, Vigan City in Vigan City, northern Philippines, it was revealed that the del Rosario siblings were first abandoned by their father but their mother would also leave them just a few months later.

Living with their maternal grandmother had not been good for the siblings who claimed their grandmother hated them. The two elder siblings ran away from home but the three would soon also run away and find their elder brothers.

Forced to fend off for themselves, the siblings tried asking help from relatives but one uncle could only provide them space at a pigpen where they would spend the next two years living alongside pigs. The elder siblings worked as technicians and sent their younger siblings to school but there were many times when all of them sleep with empty stomachs because the elder ones could no longer afford to buy them food.

The eldest, Jhon Mark, admitted that living in the pigpen had been difficult but they have long become accustomed to the noise and smell, feeling grateful as they also shared the pigs’ light in the pen.

Their plight was shared on the radio by Ramos and helped poured in for them. Through the radio station and Ramos’ post, people donated money to help the siblings.

The City Government of Vigan donated materials for them to build a small home. Their uncle gave them space for their home and many people sent money for their other needs.

The kids are all back in school and finally getting the help they long needed. When asked whether they want their parents to come back, the elder brothers admitted they no longer long for that as they have become accustomed to being by themselves; although the kids would later cry at the radio station after hearing their father’s voice for the first time.
