Filipinos Can Now Take a Cruise from Manila

In the past, Filipinos who wish to take a cruise need to travel to another country just to get on one but thanks to Star Cruises which recently made Manila, Philippines as its home port, Filipinos now get to enjoy a cruise from home!

Star Cruises recently launched its “Jewels of the South China Sea” trip, a cruise on Superstar Virgo that begins in the ports of Manila.

Superstar Virgo will bring its passengers to the port of Currimao in Laoag, Ilocos where they can explore the local attractions and ‘travel back in time’ as they visit the Baroque churches and Spanish colonial buildings. They can also soak up the sun in the beaches of Pagudpud.

Afterwards, the ship will travel to Kaohsiung, Taiwan where passengers can indulge in the sumptuous cuisines and visit historical sights. The 13-story ship will then sail for Hong Kong where passengers get to enjoy shopping and have fun at the best attractions in the area before the cruise sails back for home.

And if you find the prospect of shopping in Hong Kong exciting, wait until you hear another good news from Star Cruises: “It’s the first time that Filipinos can cruise literally from your doorstep. Hassle-free, visa-free, and almost no limitation on baggage allowance.” Isn’t that exciting?

Star Cruises was the first major cruise line to recruit Filipinos 23 years ago for our cruise ship, and now we are pleased to be the first international cruise line to make Manila our home port,” Star Cruises president Ang Moo Lim announced.
