Durians sell out fast as shirtless fitness trainers became vendors after gyms closed down in Thailand amid the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic. The guys are also going viral, with netizens saying they are feeling motivated to 1) eat durian and 2) become fit by joining their gym! LOL.
Fitness Trainers Help Sell Durian
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to rage across the world, a lot of businesses have closed down due to regulations imposed to stop the rapid spread of the virus. Many have learned to adapt with the times, changing their products or the way they deliver their services to ensure that they can still survive these difficult times.
In Thailand, all gyms and many businesses are closing down – just live everywhere else. But one durian shop decided to hit two birds with one stone by providing livelihood to the gym trainers yet also using them to attract customers. The business idea was so effective that the shop would soon open a café! Wow.
Bsamfruit Durian Delivery in Chiang Mai, Thailand, was having trouble with sales as people stayed at home, afraid of contracting the virus. As the government relaxed quarantine restrictions, some people have already ventured out, but they still needed more customers.
After learning that the local gyms have closed down and the fitness trainers also needed a job, the durian shop hired them. Word soon spread – and customers soon arrived, very interested in buying durian and hinting at the possibility of taking pictures with the sellers.
The business strategy worked, with the durian quickly selling out! But more customers still came. The owner thought it would be a good idea to diversify the products they offered to make the customers come back for more. Thus, they opened a durian café that’s also served by the fitness trainers.
Models to Sell Products
Businesses have long used models to sell their products – this is a business strategy that works for various businesses, whether food products, bags, clothes, cars, or just about anything on the planet.
