Dave Grohl vs Animal In An Epic Drum Battle

Dave Grohl is undoubtedly the busiest rockstar in the music industry right now.

Although he broke his leg in an onstage accident several months ago, he and his band, the Foo Fighters, are touring incessantly, even taking time to add Cesena, Italy in their schedule to grant the request of a thousand fans.

Despite being extremely busy though, it’s cool that he has time for crazy fun things like this – a drum battle with Animal of The Muppets fame.

In the video below, you will see how the two musicians battle it out in an attempt to find out who is better.

Animal strikes first but before Grohl took his turn, he lightly hit the cymbal and blurted out:

“Oh what’s that, a bell? Time for school.”

Grohl’s face is hilariously serious when he said that.

Who is Dave Grohl

Aside from being the singer, rhythm guitarist, and chief songwriter of the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl keeps himself busy with a whole lot of other projects.

He also plays drums for Them Crooked Vultures, a supergroup composed of rock icons John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age). He also released a metal album under the band name Probot wherein he collaborated with distinguished metalheads such as Max Cavalera (Sepultura), Snake (Voivod), Lemmy (Motorhead), and Conrad “Cronos” Lant (Venom), among many others.

He has likewise worked with other musicians including David Bowie, Garbage, Nine Inch Nails, Slash, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Paul McCartney (The Beatles).

With his band Foo Fighters, four of their full-length albums have been awarded the Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album. Last November 23, 2015, they released the Saint Cecilia EP which is available for free online download from the band’s website.
