They say that dogs can sense good or bad people. So, one daughter was smiling from ear to ear upon seeing her dad asleep on the couch while cuddling with the neighbor dogs! Isn’t that sweet?
Dad Cuddles with the Neighbor Dogs
It’s not entirely known how dogs can be so intuitive, but they seem to know who’s good and who’s bad by instinct. It is said that if dogs like you, then you must be a good person.
Of course, that rule doesn’t apply 100% of the time, but it’s known to many.
Recently, Catey Hall proudly shared a photo of her dad cuddling with some dogs. That’s not surprising for many fur parents who also love to cuddle with their fur babies, but the difference is that Catey’s dad Lon Watson was actually asleep with the neighbor dogs.

“Dad sees, plays with and naps with one or more of these dogs on a daily basis. They come running when they see his car and follow him inside,” she explained.
However, she clarified that they actually have dogs of their own, too. It’s not like Daddy Lon was taking the neighbor’s dogs away.
“For as long as I can remember, my dad has rescued stray dogs. Growing up, we always had a dog. But there was always room for a stray in need. Now that he lives alone with his wife, there’s room for several,” Catey added.
“They work with rescues in the area to find homes for the dogs in need; however, not all of them are re-homed, and they stay with dad forever.”
Aside from having four dogs of their own, Daddy Lon also gets regular visits and cuddles from neighbors Hooch, Fluffer-Nutter, and Rosie.
Thankfully, the neighbors don’t mind that their dogs are also spending a lot of time at their neighbor’s house – and Catey said they never interrupt when her dad is asleep with these visitors.
