It is said that dads will do everything for their kids to have a better life – and this is best exemplified by this dad named Jun in the Philippines who goes around Metro Manila, boarding buses so he could sell pens to earn money for his kids’ education and for the family’s everyday needs.
While this is an unconventional means of earning money, especially for a guy his age, it did not matter to Tatay Jun as long as he can earn money for his family.
In a post that has since gone viral on popular Facebook page, Top Gear Philippines, a certain Hub Pacheco shared a snapshot of the industrious dad.
Hub wrote:
The first thing you read on the typewritten note was a price list for a ballpen (P10), sign pen (P30) and marker pen (P35). Thank you. May God bless you’
According to Hub, the typewritten note that the guy was holding not only indicated the price list for the pens he is selling but also an apology for disturbing the passengers’ peaceful ride so he could ask them to buy pens because it was the only noble way he could think of that would earn him some money for the family’s everyday needs and to send his kids to school.
We could only hope that many people will patronize the pens he is selling so he could feed his family and so the kids wouldn’t have to stop going to school.
