Woman Refused to Get Married Before She Lost 100 Lbs

Claire Crowthers wanted to look perfect on her wedding day. While it’s completely normal for brides to strive to lose weight before the day, the 31-year-old bride-to-be from Wrexham, North Wales took her wedding preparation to the next level by refusing to get married before shedding off 100 lbs.

Claire had to resort to eating ready-meals and junk food and struggled to exercise because of her busy schedule as a midwife. This lifestyle has caused her to become overweight and weigh 198 lbs.

When her boyfriend popped the question, Claire had to reject him because she didn’t want to walk down the aisle looking fat.

This pushed her to join a fitness class that made her shed off 56 lbs in just over 10 months. But Claire wasn’t contented with her accomplishment. She decided to work out and achieve her goal with her boyfriend.

“The support of my husband was integral to the success of my weight loss. And working to a goal together again felt great,” says Claire.
