Justin Pounders and Amy Giberson’s unique love story was 30 years in the making.
The couple from St Petersburg, Florida, who met through the dating site match.com, were stunned to discover that they were actually childhood sweethearts more than 30 years ago.

During one of their dates, Justin casually mentioned that he had a crush on a girl with a similar name back in preschool.
“I joked to him, ‘Well, it’s not me, so I don’t want to hear about her,” Amy told PEOPLE.
After realizing that they both studied at Sunshine Preschool at the same time, the pair went on to investigate if Amy was Justin’s puppy love.
“Justin’s mom found a photo of the two of us together and I just started crying, I was ecstatic. I was the Amy he had liked all those years ago! It was definitely meant to be,” Amy happily shared.
In 2012, Justin’s former fiancee Adrianne Robert was murdered. The tragedy made life difficult for Justin.
Luckily, he moved to Orlando and was given a second chance in love after crossing paths with Amy.
“We’ve been so close to finding each other this whole time but didn’t until the time was right. And that’s now,” Justin said.
The two are set to tie the knot soon.
Childhood Sweethearts Marry After a Chance Encounter
Former school sweethearts Donna Hadley and Phillipp Wiggin accidentally found each other 30 years after they drifted apart.
The pair was reunited after Donna decided to donate a bag of clothes and shoes into the Cash in Clothes shop in Oldbury, where Phillipp volunteers.
After their chance meeting, Philipp immediately asked Donna out for a drink to give their love a second chance. Within a month, the two had moved together.
“It feels like I have been spending half my life trying to find the person that I actually found at 15. It’s been a long time coming – but that’s what makes what we’ve got even more special,” Phillipp said.
The childhood sweethearts finally sealed the deal during their fairytale wedding in Somerset in July this year.
