Check Out The Keret House – The World’s Skinniest House

If you are living alone, it’s absolutely impractical to get a big house. Sure, having a lot of space can be great but maintaining it can be a struggle.

Architect Jakub Szczesny came up with an interesting house design created with the needs of people living alone in mind, according to a blog report by Viral4Real. Located in Warsaw, Poland, the Keret House is officially known as the thinnest house in the world since it merely measures five feet in width and 46-square-feet in total space.

Do not underestimate this tiny dwelling place, however, because it has everything a single homeowner will ever need. The two-floor iron structure has its own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and a living area. So it’s really both cozy and functional.

Szczesny first presented the unique concept back in 2009 at the WolaArt festiif you val. Three years after that, the idea finally became a reality and it did gain a lot of attention across the world.

In case you are wondering, yes, it does have two windows (which are non-opening). Sunlight penetrates the house through the walls’ translucent glass panels. As for its electricity source, the Keret House obtains power from a neighboring building. The structure also comes equipped with custom water and sewage technology.
