Looks, as they say, can be deceiving. So you really have to be extra careful these days if you don’t want to be the next victim of some unscrupulous individuals out there.
Case in point, Facebook netizen Bhel Gacosta of Healthy Cravings in Robinsons Place Santiago was fooled by a beautiful young woman who ran away with Php 12,000 from their restaurant. In a lengthy post on Facebook, Bhel shared the bad incident which happened last November 25, 2016.
According to her account, she and her workmates were busy at work when the girl entered the establishment. The girl pretended to be the daughter of the owner of Red Ribbon – a nearby restaurant.

In her own words, this is how Bhel described what happened:

Bhel also uploaded a CCTV footage of the ‘budol budol’ incident, along with some photos of the culprit. She hopes this will lead to the crook’s arrest and that others would be warned about her modus operandi.

What Is ‘Budol Budol’?
In an ABS-CBN article, we are told that the ‘budol budol’ modus operandi is both “simple and sophisticated: the robber gets the trust of his victim – often a stranger – so the victim freely gives him what he wants.”
The site further explained “How easy a ”budol” robber takes his prize from his victim is what makes the modus look simple. But the part of getting a stranger’s trust, especially in such a short period of time, is what makes it sophisticated.”
