A boy sells vegetables to buy school supplies – and gets unexpected help from a passing rider.
It’s kind of this rider to help the boy out, and you’ll smile at what the kid told him afterward.

Boy Sells Vegetables for School Supplies
Students in the Philippines are going back to school.
While this is exciting for many students who haven’t been in their schools in the past years due to the pandemic, it’s also a difficult moment for those whose families can’t afford to buy them bags, uniforms, and school supplies.
Quite amazingly, there are students who go out of their way to find work or earn some money to support themselves in school or buy their needs.
Rider and vlogger Ronie Ravago, posting as @RonieRavagoOfficial and @Onthemotoroad, shared a video of his encounter with a young boy while he was out riding.
He asked the kid what he’s doing, and the boy said that he’s selling the vegetables so he could buy some school supplies and food for the family.
The rider-vlogger was shocked to learn that the bundle was just for Php20. How could Php20 buy school supplies and food?
But the kid explained that he regularly does this and saves the money until he has enough to buy his needs.
Impressed by this kid’s determination, Ravago bought the bundle, paying the kid Php500. Then, he asked the boy to come back the following day, at the same spot at the same time, because he’ll buy him some school supplies.
It was almost nightfall at the time, so it was not possible to get the kid the supplies on that day.
The following day, Ravago shopped for the kid’s school supplies, making sure to also add some uniforms and a pair of slippers.
Then, he went back to the spot where he met the kid. The young boy didn’t arrive on time, but explained that he was still out gathering firewood.
It was kind of Ravago to wait for the kid – and the boy was also so happy to receive the unexpected blessings. He also had some sweet parting words for the kind rider.
