When we start the day, many of us drink a cup of coffee as part of our morning ritual. In other days, a glass of cold water may be our thing. Modern health studies, however, tell us that we’re probably wrong.
As an alternative, experts suggest that drinking warm water first thing in the morning can bring wonderful advantages for your health. In an interview with Medical Daily, Stella Metsovas, clinical nutritionist and media health expert in Food and Nutrition Sciences, said:
“Physicians recommend drinking warm water in the morning, usually, with a polyphenol-rich lemon immersion, or with a tea shown to decrease free radical activity in the body.”
Here are some of the benefits:
1. It helps your digestion.
To begin with, drinking cold water during meals can harden oil and so it creates a fat deposit your intestine. By comparison, drinking warm water after a meal can aid in breaking down food more effectively. It will definitely help your body eliminate toxins.
2. It relieves constipation.
If you have problems with constipation, then here’s a good solution. The morning habit of drinking warm water can help you have better bowel movement.
3. It helps you lose weight.
Having a hard time getting rid of those extra bodily fats? Well, warm water can be a good tool in achieving your goal.
In 2008, a study published by the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics confirmed that people who drank at least two cups of water before eating consumed 13% lesser calories.
4. It improves blood circulation.
Drinking warm water is also an effective, natural way of having better blood circulation. As mentioned earlier, bodily toxins are eliminated and so it enhances the quality of your blood flow.
5. It delays aging.
As we all know, having a lot of toxins in the body can cause premature aging. Fortunately, warm water helps out with that and, at the same time, even repairs your skin cells. You’ll look way younger if you make it a daily practice to drink warm water in the morning.
