1. You’re eating the wrong carbs.

Instead of packing on white rice, white pasta and white bread, try to replace these with complex wholegrain options like wholemilll bread, brown rice and brown pasta. Vegetables like sweet potato or butternut squash may also make you feel fuller for longer.

2. Your diet lacks protein.

Unknown to many, protein, which takes longer to break down during digestion, keeps you full. Aside from good quality lean protein from eggs, sliced turkey, tuna, and beans, you may also include Greek yoghurt since it has higher protein content in each meal and snack. Make your breakfast more interesting by adding a sprinkle of protein-rich seeds or nuts.

3. You’re not consuming enough fat.

Believe it or not, fat plays a huge role in satiety. Several studies have shown that fats work on the brain pathways that decrease the reward associated with food. Avocado, which provides  a good amount of monounsaturated fats that satiate, may be added to your salad.
